Pandu College Gate Durga Puja in Maligaon (Guwahati ). This time every Durga Puja committee in Assam pay tribute to beloved music icon, Zubeen Garg ( who passed away on 19th September 2025)

Adieu music Legend Zubeen Garg

Yesterday, on 22nd September 2025, I went to pay my last tribute to 
Assam’s cultural icon, Zubeen Garg 
(who passed away on 19th September 2025 in Singapore), 
at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex, 
where lakhs of his fans and well-wishers had gathered over the past two days to pay homage.

His cremation ceremony was held today, 23rd September 2025, with full State Honours 
at Kamarkuchi (Hatimura), Kamrup (Metro), Assam.

Zubeen Garg was more than a singer; he was a bold, honest, and compassionate 
soul whose music and life touched the hearts of millions. 
His songs, words, and deeds will be cherished and remembered forever.

On 19th September 2025, got the heartbreaking news about 
Singer, Filmmaker, Actor, Poet and A man with Golden Heart Zubeen Garg’s sudden death in Singapore. Music icon, Heartthrob of Assam Zubeen Garg was in 
Singapore for musical performance  in the ‘North East India Festival’.

Rest in Peace Zubeen Da...Prayers _ ()_

to reverberate in our hearts forever.

On the occasion of World Photography Day (19 August 2025), the Directorate of Museums, Assam organised a special temporary exhibition titled “The Viewfinder: Four Visions” It featured photographs by Himadri Bhuyan, Utpal Baruah, Debraj Chakraborty, Udayan Borthakur. 

This exhibition is open to the public till 25th September 2025
