Assam flood relief donation drive
United by a shared commitment to supporting those in need, Garima Saikia Garg, along with Assam's artistes, actors, musicians under the banner of 'Sur Bahini' launched a citywide donation drive in Guwahati to assist flood-affected families in Upper Assam.Inspired by the enduring humanitarian legacy of music maestro

to provide relief and stand in solidarity with those impacted by the floods.

* On 19 July 2026, Assam witnessed one of its most devastating flood disasters in recent years.
Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat, and Golaghat Districts (Upper Assam side) were overwhelmed as floodwaters surged through villages, forcing families to seek refuge on rooftops and trees with children and the elderly. Their courage and resilience in the face of this tragedy
will never be forgotten.
