Rupkonwar Jyoti Prasad Agarwala (1903–1951) was a renowned Assamese playwright, songwriter, poet, writer and film maker from Assam. He made the first Assamese film, 'Joymoti' in 1935. His death anniversary (17th January) is celebrated as Silpi Divas (Artists' Day) in his honor.

7th Jeevan Kite and River Festival- Brahmaputra Carnival organised by Jeevan Initiative
was held from 4th to 8th January 2018 at Bharalu riverside behind Sonaram Higher Secondary School Field, Guwahati, Assam. Nice to visit the festival, Here I share few photos from the festival.
The festival is a part of the "Brahmaputra Campaign" for clean riverbanks undertaken 
by voluntary organisation Jeevan Initiative
