An exciting glance of the Naranarayan Setu(Bridge) above the river Brahmaputra

Sunday trip to my home town Abhayapuri

To get out of the summer heat, we decided to go on a trip to my home town Abhayapuri with my maternal family. Thus on a very mild morning we started our journey. The journey was by a Maruti Zen car. We crossed NH37 and then via Goalpara reached Abhayapuri. It was 200 kms journey.
As the afternoon approaching, the heat of the sun was melting the rawness of human beings. It was then, that suddenly the tyre of our car had punctured. On such a hot day, it was also very difficult to find somebody for help. Nevertheless, thanks God! My elder brother somehow managed to handle the problem. After traveling one hour or so, we finally reached Abhayapuri. Being boosted away by the summer heat, we took some rest and had a delicious lunch. With the darkness prevailing, we started our journey back to Guwahati.
