Freedom Fighters Of Assam

In the memory of our freedom fighters who sacrificed their precious life for the cause of the nation, so as to make free our nation from the chain of slavery of the British raaj.
The statue reflects the image of great freedom fighters of Assam who were the victim in the freedom struggle. Who were Kanaklata Barua, Kushal Konwar, Maniram Dewan, Pioli Barua, Kamala Miri (Loying), Bhogeswary Phukononi, Pioli Phukan, Gomdhar Konwar.
This statue is at Bharalamukh, Guwahati which was inaugurated by our Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam Mr.Tarun Gogoi and Assam Health Minister Mr.Himanta Biswa Sarma on 12 February 2011.
This statue was made by our famous sculpture of Assam Biren Sinha.
